Job summary

Polynt Group in Jacksonville is seeking an entry-level operator to assist in producing polyester resins on rotating shifts. You will handle raw materials, load finished goods, and perform data entry while maintaining safety and cleanliness in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift and Ottawa Tractor Driver Certification is required.
• Must lift 50 lbs repetitively and manage heavy sacks with a hoist or dolly.
• Able to work outdoors in hot, cold, and wet weather year-round.
• Proficient in basic computer use (email, Excel, data entry).

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of producing polyester resins in a safe, clean manner on rotating shifts.
• Obtain raw materials, add materials to production vessels, and load finished products into tank trucks and drums.
• Perform inventory data entry and complete housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Follow safety requirements and wear PPE (hard hat, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, respirators).

Duties And Responsibilities

This entry level operator position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of producing polyester resins while working in a safe and clean manner and will work a rotating shift. These functions include but are not limited to getting raw materials required for production, adding raw materials into production vessels, loading finished products into tank trucks and drums, completing data entry of inventory movements, and performing general housekeeping tasks. The majority of work takes place outside, therefore working in hot, cold, and wet weather is often required. All required personal protective equipment such as hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, uniforms and respirators will be provided by the Company.

Knowledge And Skills

• Proficient at basic computer skills (ie: email, EXCEL, data input etc.)
• Ability to be forklift and Ottawa Tractor Driver Certified
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and push 2,000 lb supersacks using a hoist or dolly.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment as required by the task including a full-face respirator which will require the employee to be clean-shaven.
• Ability to work in an outside environment year round
• Ability to climb flights of stairs multiple times per day
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to use handheld tools
• Physical ability and flexibility to work 12 hour and rotating shifts
• Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
• Math skills are required including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (a math assessment will be administered during the interview process).
