Job summary

Hawaii Transfer Company, Ltd. in Waipahu, Hawaii is seeking a Driver Helper to assist with van or panel truck deliveries and to transport freight from the warehouse to delivery sites. You will also handle unloading at delivery locations and support other duties as required.

The role expects a valid Hawaii Driver's License (Type 3), a clean driving history, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. A flexible schedule and good communication skills are essential; union membership and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Able to obtain Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• 21 years old or older (bona fide occupational qualification).
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Job description

• Driver Helper to drive van or panel truck and transport freight and/or merchandise from warehouse to various delivery sites.
• Unloading of merchandise or freight at delivery site.
• The listed functions/tasks are a primary base set of functions/tasks that must be performedin additionto any other that is necessary but not listed. The list is intended to include the core functions that must be performed, but cannot include all the additional details necessary tasks on a microcosm basis.

Job Requirements

• Possess valid Hawaii Driver's License (Type3)
• Provide clean Hawaii Driver History Record
• Currently possess or able to obtain Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Knowledge of forklift operations - forklift certifiable, use of pallet jacks
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• Perform basic math functions - add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Flexible work schedule (including overtime) to meet customer needs.
• Provide excellent customer service and possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and determine priorities while under minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• At least 21 years old (bona fide occupational qualification)

Job Pay

$27.97 - $27.97 per hour
