Job summary

UPS is seeking a seasonal Driver Helper in State College, PA. You will team with a UPS driver to help deliver packages to homes and businesses, spend your day outdoors, and interact with customers. This is a seasonal position with varying schedules and morning opportunities based on needs.

Shifts may include Mondays through Saturdays and holidays. You will meet the driver at a pickup location, help with loading, and ensure safe, on‑time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Able to lift, lower and carry packages up to 70 lbs.
• Sturdy boots or slip‑resistant shoes for outdoor work
• Weather‑appropriate attire for outdoor work
• Flexibility with day‑to‑day scheduling based on business needs
• Saturdays and holiday work required depending on business needs
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Team with a UPS driver to help deliver packages to homes and businesses.
• Meet the driver at a designated pickup location and assist with delivery support; you do not drive the truck.
• Support daily operations, stay active, and interact with customers during rounds.

Ride Along with a Driver as a Seasonal Driver Helper

Looking for a physically active seasonal opportunity in your community? As a Driver Helper, you'll team up with a UPS package delivery driver to help deliver packages to homes and businesses. You'll spend your day outdoors, interacting with customers, and helping ensure packages are delivered safely and on time.

This is a seasonal position that requires your flexibility. Work opportunities are offered each morning based on operational needs and your availability. Schedules vary and can include Monday through Saturday, holidays, and peak delivery periods.

When assigned work, you'll meet your driver at a designated pick‑up location (meet point), often near your home or within your community. Helpers do not drive the brown truck.

Please Note: This is a seasonal position; schedules vary from day to day.

The base pay for this position is $17.75/hour
