DiVal Safety Equipment in Ft. Lauderdale, FL seeks a General Warehouse Associate/Driver to support warehouse operations and community with on-time deliveries. Responsibilities include picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and stock put-away, plus route deliveries using a 26’ box truck (non-CDL).

Strong organizational and time-management skills are required along with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license and forklift/pallet jack experience are preferred.

The main responsibility of this position is to provide accurate and efficient Warehouse and onsite Quality Customer support with safety being a priority.

Duties and Responsibilities -

• Always focus on safety – safety training and direction must be always adhered to.
• Various Warehouse activity, including but not limited to - picking, packing, shipping orders, receiving inventory, and putting stock away. (Estimated 60%-80%)
• Load and deliver product/skids on scheduled routes. Utilizing a 26’ Non-CDL box truck. (Estimate-20% to 40%)
• Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required.
• Complete cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Must complete daily vehicle inspection and make direct supervisor aware of any issues that might require attention.
• Report any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
• Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisors in alignment with other members of the management team.
• Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements -

• Strong organizational, detail oriented, self-motivated and strong time management skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
• on a repetitive basis.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• (16’ or 26’ box truck, non-CDL)Ability to pass a NON-D.O.T. physical with drug screen.
• Experienced with warehouse equipment including forklifts, electric pallet trucks, elevated work platforms, and manual pallet jacks.
• (Preferred)Experience driving a box truck for delivery services (Preferred)Experience with handheld equipment, like RF scanners, palm devices, and/or tablets.
• (Preferred)Basic computer skills a must, AS400 experience a plusHigh school diploma / GED equivalent.
