Job summary

Riddle Village in Media, PA is hiring full-time and part-time Drivers to join our Transportation team. The Driver ensures safe, timely transportation for residents, guests, and visitors using facility vehicles to local destinations and events.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, basic vehicle maintenance, keeping interiors/exteriors clean, and assisting the Concierge desk when needed. A CDL and clean driving record are required, with flexibility for day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License as required by Pennsylvania.
• Verifiable safe driving record is required.
• Strong knowledge of the metropolitan and surrounding area.
• Genuine interest in geriatric care and belief in the facility's philosophy.
• Well-groomed appearance and courteous demeanor.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.

About the Driver Position:

The Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation to residents, guests, and designated visitors. This entails driving facility vehicles to local restaurants, shopping centers, physicians' offices, and other various locations, as well as special activities and events, as scheduled and assigned. The Driver shall maintain vehicle logs, purchase gas, and ensure that preventative maintenance and inspection schedules are kept current on all facility vehicles. It will be necessary for the Driver to perform minor vehicular maintenance as needed and ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times. This can include washing vehicles. The Driver may be asked to provide general assistance to the Concierge desk and to perform other related or unrelated duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to address emergencies or other specific situations. The Driver will work in well-maintained, clean, and modern vehicles and may also work in well-lighted, well-ventilated buildings. The Driver may work during daytime and nighttime hours and in varied weather conditions. The Driver will be required to walk, climb, kneel, and lift. He/she may also come in contact with chemicals associated with the maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must possess a current Commercial Drivers License as currently required by the State of Pennsylvania
• Must have a verifiable safe driving record
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the metropolitan and surrounding area
• Must have a genuine interest in geriatric care and believe in and uphold the philosophy of the facility.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance and demonstrate a courteous, friendly, patient, and congenial manner at all times.
• Previous transportation experience is preferred.
• Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
