Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Pennsylvania is seeking a Propane Bobtail Driver to safely and timely deliver propane to residential and commercial customers. You will load and unload propane, maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service.

This seasonal/flex role offers overtime during peak periods; you will follow safety protocols, conduct pre/post vehicle inspections, collaborate with dispatch for routing, and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries.

Qualifications

• Delivery driver experience is required.
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement is required.
• DOT medical certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers.

• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and site inspections as needed.

Job description

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you'll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
• Current DOT medical certification
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening

Seasonal/Flex Position:

• 9 months on / 3 months off - You would work 4 ten hour days Tuesday - Friday and would be off the months of June, July and August

During your active season, you'll play a critical role in delivering propane and supporting customers throughout high-demand winter months. Off-season periods provide extended time away from work between active assignments.
