Job summary

Abound Health is seeking a compassionate Driver's Aide / DSP (Part-Time) to support individuals with IDD during transportation and community activities. Primary routes cover Greenville, Mercer, Hermitage, and Sharon PA. Expect driving on Tuesdays and potential additional route coverage.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with weekly pay and onboarding training. Qualifications include 18+ years old, valid license, and ability to pass checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance, reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided on hire).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required.
• Previous transportation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals during transportation to home, programs, appointments, and community activities.
• Safely operate a vehicle on assigned routes.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles.
• Monitor passenger safety, comfort, and well-being during transit.
• Provide companionship and support while encouraging independence.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicles.
• Follow transportation schedules and report delays or concerns.
• Complete daily logs, documentation, and incident reports.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Drive safely in all weather conditions as needed.
