Job summary

Century HVAC Distributing in Texas is hiring a Delivery Driver / Dispatcher to manage the delivery process, operate a vehicle safely, and provide excellent customer service to contractors and commercial clients.

You will prepare orders, optimize routes, document deliveries, maintain the vehicle, and support warehouse and inside sales staff. A valid license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record (within the last 3 years).
• Valid and current driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to sit for several hours.
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery.
• Wear Century polo uniform.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery process and customer service.
• Prepare orders for delivery and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Complete required documentation for delivered items.
• Maintain vehicle and adhere to DOT regulations.
• Assist inside sales and warehouse staff as required.
• Pull orders and organize product in warehouse bins.
• Design delivery routes and communicate with customers.

In this position, you will oversee the effective functioning of the delivery process, which encompasses the safe operation of a motor vehicle, the delivery of goods, and customer service. Your responsibilities will include selecting and preparing orders for customer delivery, ensuring that all deliveries are made promptly and accurately along designated routes. You will also be required to complete the necessary documentation for delivered items in accordance with company procedures and customer or vendor guidelines.
