Job summary

Shearer Supply, LLC is seeking a Warehouse/Delivery Driver in Garland, TX to support daily delivery and transport HVAC goods from our branch locations to customers and other Sales Center locations. The role also covers warehouse duties during downtimes.

The position requires a DOT Medical Card, a high school diploma or equivalent, and about one year of related experience. You will work in a team, ensure safety, and maintain a clean delivery truck.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Clean driving record and pass pre-employment screens.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and operate warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload/Load equipment for deliveries.
• Deliver products to customers in a timely, courteous manner.
• Maintain clean delivery truck and warehouse.
• Assist in stocking and warehouse operations as needed.
• Follow Department of Transportation regulations.

Job Description

The Warehouse/Delivery Driver is responsible for daily delivery and transportation of HVAC goods and materials from our Branch locations to customers, vendors, and other Sales Center locations. In addition to making deliveries, this role involves maintaining and operating the warehouse during downtime.

Warehouse/Delivery Driver Responsibilities

• Unload/Load equipment for deliveries
• Help stock the warehouse
• Deliver product to customers in an efficient, timely, courteous and accurate manner
• Maintain clean delivery truck and warehouse
• Treat customers with respect and provide excellent customer experience
• Know and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations
• Assist in the warehouse as needed

Warehouse/Delivery Driver Job Requirements

• DOT Medical Card
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-year related experience
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass all Pre-Employment Screens
• Assist in the warehouse as needed

Warehouse/Delivery Driver Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to load/unload truck at time of delivery
• Ability to sit for 20+ minutes at a time
• Ability to push, pull at least 20+ pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
