Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Specialist onsite in Omaha, NE. The role involves ensuring Safety/Risk policies are documented, enforced, and resolved, with direct driver support on hours-of-service compliance.

Responsibilities include researching log corrections, reviewing audits, and handling driver incidents. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior Safety Specialist experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and company policies.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a PC and standard office equipment.
• Familiarity with AS-400 and Microsoft Office.
• Safety-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers via phone and in person regarding compliance with hours of service.
• Identify drivers’ needs and provide feedback and resolution.
• Research driver requests to make log corrections in the system and verify validity.
• Work on audit reports to identify violations of hours-of-service and determine disciplinary actions.
• Review driver records (MVRs) for DOT compliance and document incidents and coaching as needed.
• Assist with hazardous materials briefings and related compliance questions.
