Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is hiring a Driver with a Class E license for our Warehouse/Distribution Center. You will be responsible for transporting goods and supporting inventory and shipment needs across locations.

When not on the road, you will assist in the warehouse to prepare shipments. The role offers typical hourly pay with benefits and opportunities for advancement within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with Class E endorsement.
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical.
• Reliable transportation.
• Approved driving record.
• Ability to drive a vehicle with manual transmission.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• The Driver will operate in the Warehouse/Distribution Center and assist with shipments when not on the road.

Plaza Tire Service handles the inventory needs of its store locations and wholesale customers through the Cape Girardeau Distribution Center. When not on the road, this position includes working within the warehouse to help prepare shipments. We have an opening for a Driver with a Class E license for our Warehouse/Distribution Center.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $18-$19 per hour, depending on experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

The Driver will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.

The Driver must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
