Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop is seeking a Driver Class B to handle loading/unloading, secure loads, and provide excellent customer service across our branch network. You will report to the Fleet Department and play a key role in daily operations and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes safety-mindedness, organization, and strong customer relations, with opportunities for training and career growth within a leading architectural glass and building products company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with two years of verifiable, accident-free driving experience.
• Meet all DOT requirements.
• Valid Class B license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to obtain a medical examiner’s certificate of physical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Maintain truck and driving records by reporting information, completing driver logs, and truck performance forms.
• Comply with organization policies and state/local driving rules and regulations.
• Regular and predictable attendance and adherence to safety policies are essential.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Driver Class B is focused on the handling, loading/unloading of product, securing the load, making multiple deliveries, and providing excellent customer service and reports to the Branch Operations Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who safety minded, organized and good customer relations skills. A vital member of the Fleet Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include

• Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre and post trip inspections
• Maintain truck and driving records by reporting information, completing driver logs, and truck performance forms
• Comply with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

What We Are Looking For

• At least 21 years old with two (2) years of verifiable, accident-free driving experience, or completed a DOT driver training class from an accredited truck driving school (we will train the right candidate through our comprehensive driver’s training program).
• Meet all DOT requirements.
• Valid Class B license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to obtain a medical examiner’s certificate of physical qualification.
