Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop, a leading manufacturer and distributor of architectural glass and building products, is seeking a Class B Driver in Tuscaloosa, AL. You will transport and unload product to customers, interact with clients to resolve issues, and report to the Fleet Manager.

This role requires safety focus, flexibility with shift times, and strong customer service. As a vital member of the Fleet Department, you will handle loading/unloading, perform pre/post trip checks, and ensure

Qualifications

• Must be in compliance with all DOT requirements including an unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate.
• Flexibility with start / end times.
• Read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes and delivery schedules; use a tape measure.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Good customer relations and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Day to day activities will consist of handling and loading/unloading glass and/or metal products, load securement, daily pre and post trip of vehicles, multiple deliveries, and customer service
• Unloading could include handling loose, crated, and racked glass, metal and associated products, as well as, operating boom cranes
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, are essential functions of your job.

What You’ll Get to Do

TheClass B Driveris focused on the responsible transporting and unloading of product to customers, while interacting daily with customers to help resolve any issues that may arise and reports to theFleet Manager.
