Position Summary

• This position is responsible for driving/transporting residents to and from various locations.
• This position is expected to know and support the mission and values of Dominican Oaks, and to apply the Dominican Oaks philosophy while performing daily job tasks.

In this role, you will operate a 19-passenger van to assist residents in attending outings such as visits to museums, concerts, gardens, factories, and parks. You will also drive our Cadillac for medical transportation, taking residents to appointments and for prescriptions.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Current and valid CA Commercial Class B driver's license with Passenger Endorsement (required if driving vehicles designed to carry more than 10 passengers).
• First Aid Certification from AHA within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Effective communication skills with residents and staff.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, demonstrate good judgment, and solve problems.
