Job Details

Safety-Kleen in San Jose, CA is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee). This role involves training to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services along a defined route. Safety-Kleen will cover the costs for you to obtain your CDL.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety compliance at all times.
• Complete scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups promptly.
• Handle drums of solutions (5 to 800 lbs) using hand carts, dollies, and pallet jacks.
• Complete all documentation and labeling accurately.
• Generate leads for new products/services and sell to existing customers.
• Operate vehicles safely according to DOT and local regulations.
• Obtain a CDL B license within 90 days (paid by the company) and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements within 30 days.
• Manage time and productivity independently.
• Perform physical functions as required, with successful background check, drug test, and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with commercial route driving (Class C or non-CDL).
