Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Class B Driver to operate straight or box trucks, delivering products to customer locations and assisting with warehouse tasks as needed. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely deliveries.

The position starts at $26.25 per hour with benefits beginning after 60 days, plus vacation time, sick leave accrual from day one, paid holidays after 90 days, and a 401(k) profit sharing plan after 90 days. Candidates must be 21+ and CDL-B qualified.

The Class B Driver drives a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport food staples and specialty products to various customer locations.

What You’ll Do As a Class B Driver

• Operate a straight truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to convey products to customer sites.
• Unload and place all products in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Perform warehouse-related duties when not making deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Class B Driver Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL-B).
• Lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
