Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of tractor/trailer delivery experience required.
• Class A CDL License necessary.
• Knowledge of trucking regulations is desirable.

Job description

The purpose of the Class A Driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in urban, suburban, and rural areas to transport freight. This position is an over-the-road regional role with potential deliveries across the U.S. and may include loading and unloading food products for charitable feeding partners, supporting Gleaners’ mission to fight hunger.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor/trailer routes, ensure compliance with DOT, state, and federal regulations, and maintain accurate records. Load and unload food products as needed, and communicate professionally with staff, volunteers, and donors.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with current DOT medical certificate
• Good driving record and insurability
• At least 2 years of tractor/trailer delivery experience
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Knowledge of trucking regulations and experience with electronic logging devices desirable

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 2000 lbs.

• Work may be indoors or outdoors, in hot/cold environments, with exposure to dust, dirt, and fumes

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $0.60 CPM, home weekly, with detention pay and incentive opportunities. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, volunteer days, vision, disability, life insurance, wellness programs, 403(b) plan with match, apparel allowance, and more.
