Job summary

IMS is seeking a Driver Class A in San Jose, CA. You will handle local routes, aiming to be home each night with weekends off, and contribute to a high-quality customer experience. The role rewards experienced truck drivers with comprehensive benefits and solid equipment.

Ideal candidates have a valid Class A license, at least 6 months of driving, and familiarity with GPS/AVL units and CB radios. Flatbed or stake-bed experience is a plus, with a strong safety mindset emphasized.

Our Drivers have Local Routes, home every night and Weekends Off! They are integral to the success of our business because they are the last stop in our customer experience. • Route deliveries with regular shifts allowing our drivers to be home with family each day.

• Flatbed or Stake-bed experience a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to strap down and maintain quality control and to organize workload for maximum effectiveness on a flatbed
• Ability to represent the company in a customer-friendly and positive manner
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Strong detail orientation and understanding of safe work processes and procedures
• Ability to be an effective team member

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years and older
• At least 6 months of experience as a truck driver
• Valid Class A License
• Manual Driving Experience
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
