US Foods is seeking a warehouse returns associate to verify and process driver-returned products and invoices with accurate codes.

You will ensure temperature guidelines, handle documentation, unload backhaul trailers, and support inventory integrity in a fast-paced dock environment. Strong math, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of warehouse and delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify returned products for accurate reason codes to ensure correct accounting.
• Verify temperature of returned products to maintain quality.
• Process documents related to returns and adjustments for inventory accuracy.
• Unload backhaul trailers using powered equipment and move products to the correct zone.
• Inspect returns for disposition and apply proper codes.
• Run end-of-day processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Return saleable items to pick slots per local policy.
• Assist drivers and supervisors to address issues and identify process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify returned product for accurate reason codes (mispicks, driver shorts, refusals) to ensure accounting reports reflect accurate data.
• Verify returned product is within temperature guidelines to maintain product integrity.
• Process all documents (paper and digital) associated with returns and adjustments to customer orders to ensure inventory accuracy and customer invoice accuracy.
• Unload backhaul trailers using powered industrial equipment and transport product to correct warehouse zone.
• Inspect all product returned for appropriate disposition (saleable, damage/recuperation, damage/out of code dumps, etc…) and ensure proper coding is applied.
• Execute end of day processes and reports, ensuring all discrepancies are researched and addressed.
• Return saleable product to pick slot (where allowed; see local CBA).
• Assist drivers and transportation supervisors to address any issues and address training/retraining needs and process improvement opportunities.

NOTE: Employee will be working in variable temperatures and workstation is located on the cooler dock.

Internal: Transportation Manager, Day Warehouse Manager. External:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Related Experience: A minimum of three years of experience with warehouse & delivery procedures required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, basic computer skills. Must be able to work on complex tasks and prioritize workload. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to be a resource to others in the division.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent, sitting, standing and walking, occasional lifting of 20 lb. weights. Must be able to operate a computer and perform filing.

COMPENSATION

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $16 and $25. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
