Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver for a home-daily role on a Monday–Friday shift from 4:30 am to 1:00 pm. Local routes with potential overtime during traffic or port congestion ensure you’re home daily.

Drivers transport containers to designated ports and must be at least 21 with a valid CDL and clean driving record. Benefits include health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience moving multiple trailer types (tanks, vans, flatbeds) is a plus.

CDL Class A Driver – Home Daily!

1st shift Monday to Friday 4:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Overtime may be required due to traffic conditions and port congestion

Pay rates starting at $ 28.75 per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Safely transport loaded and empty containers between designated ports, including Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Richmond.

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
