Job summary

Imperial Brady in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Driver (Straight Truck)/Class B Delivery Driver to support daily routes with a focus on safe, timely deliveries and excellent customer service. You will operate a 24' box truck, load and unload using pallet jack and lift gate, and maintain accurate trip logs.

A valid CDL-B, clean driving record and ability to lift 50+ pounds are required. Hours are Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL-B license required.
• Must pass DOT Medical Exam.
• Good driving record is essential.
• At least 1 year of CDL-B experience.
• At least 1 year of route delivery experience.
• At least 1 year of pallet jack/hand truck experience.
• Lift gate experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle a physically demanding workload.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 24' box truck and 26,000 lbs GVW.
• Load/unload cargo using pallet jack/hand truck and lift gate.
• Track and document trip/activity logs.
• Report issues to dispatch.
• Inspect the truck before and after trips.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service on every delivery.

The Driver (Straight Truck)/Class B Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of stops daily. The deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly and delivering the merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering products and providing exceptional customer service.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm, or until daily route completed.

You Will

• Safely operate a 24' box truck and 26,000 pounds of gross vehicle weight (GVW)
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
• Properly track and document the activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect the truck before and after each trip
• Communicate with customers with an outgoing, positive attitude

You Have

• A valid commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
• A good driving record
• 1 year of recent CDL B experience
• 1 year of route delivery experience
• 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
• Lift gate experience
• Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
• Strong work ethic
