Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a CDL A Driver for a Home Daily 1st Shift role in Everett, WA. You will drive our equipment, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and help keep the supply chain moving safely and efficiently.

We offer competitive pay starting at $32.50 per hour, a $2,500 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including health, dental, vision, 401k with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A experience.
• A current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Itar/EAR note: U.S. person status required or export authorization applicable.

Responsibilities

• Drive a ¾ ton truck and 16' trailer on-site or on public roads.
• Load and unload materials using equipment in a safe manner.
• Maintain required documentation: daily logs, inspection reports, mileage, shipping/receiving records.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document results.
• Secure loads and ensure weight limits are not exceeded.
• Maintain housekeeping within tractor/trailer and surrounding areas.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Drive a ¾ ton truck & 16' trailer in and around the site or on public roads
• Operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials in a safe manner
• Maintain required documentation, including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, unloading and shipping records
• Conduct thorough and accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections and provide documentation upon completion; ensure proper closure of trailers
• Provide basic equipment maintenance and report equipment malfunctions as necessary
• Properly secure loads and ensure all loads are within weight limits
• Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
• Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience
• A current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• A current valid CDL class A and clean driving record
• This position requires access to technical data, technology, or software that is subject to U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.15) or be able to obtain necessary export authorization from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce, as applicable.[1 ,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ]

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
