Job summary

Sanborn Iron & Metals, a trusted family-owned business since 1902, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for local hauls. You will operate company trucks to pick up and deliver recyclable scrap metal materials, assist with loading and unloading, and perform basic maintenance and pre-trip inspections.

Home every night. Ideal candidates hold a Class A CDL with an air brake endorsement, have a clean driving record, and can work through seasonal weather.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Able to work in seasonal weather conditions
• Physically able to lift heavy items and climb trailers
• Experience with preventive maintenance or light repairs is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to pick up and deliver recyclable scrap metal materials
• Assist with loading and unloading when needed
• Inspect loads and tarp trucks safely
• Perform basic maintenance and pre-trip inspections
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Join the team at Sanborn Iron & Metals, a trusted, family-owned business since 1902. We’re looking for a Class A CDL Driver for local hauls — no mileage pay, and steady, year-round work.

What You’ll Do

• Operate company trucks to pick up and deliver recyclable scrap metal materials
• Assist with loading and unloading when needed
• Inspect loads and tarp trucks safely
• Perform basic maintenance and pre-trip inspections
• Complete additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL License (manual transmission preferred but not required)
• Air brake endorsement required
• Clean driving record
• Able to work in seasonal weather conditions
• Reliable, safety-focused, and physically capable of lifting heavy items and climbing trailers
• Experience with preventive maintenance or light repairs a plus
• Must meet DOT requirements
