Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a Distribution Driver Helper in Syosset, NY. This full-time role supports delivery drivers by handling route duties, with CDL training offered to help licensed candidates begin their careers in professional distribution.

You will assist with delivering products to licensed retailers, check-in orders with customers, collect payments, and help maintain accurate logs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products as invoiced to specified licensed retailers
• Check-in invoiced orders with customers in a friendly, courteous manner
• Collect and return all payments as required
• Account for all invoices of merchandise delivered and merchandise returned
• Collect empty boxes to be used for redelivery, as needed
• Ensure delivery logs are completed as required
• Ensure check-in procedures are followed daily
• Attend monthly safety meetings
• Take only safety courses and other classes as needed
• Report all moving violations to management

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $20 / hour. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
