Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Driver/Behavioral Aide in El Dorado Hills, CA. The role combines driving duties with behavioral support for students with special needs, following IEP/BIP plans and ABA strategies.

Job Title: Driver/Behavioral Aide - El Dorado Hills

Pay Range: $18.50-$22.50

Full-Time

Location: El Dorado Hills, CA

Work Days: Monday–Friday

Work Hours: Split Shifts – School Hours

About the Role:

Support students with special needs in K-12 school settings.

As a Driver/Behavioral Aide, you will have split shifts for driving as well as a shift as a Behavioral Aide.

As a Behavioral Aide, you'll implement behavior intervention plans, provide one-on-one instructional support, and help students build the skills they need to succeed in the classroom.

This role works closely with teachers and clinical staff to deliver personalized care for students with learning, social, emotional, or behavioral needs.

As a driver, you will provide safe transportation for our students, to and from the school campus each day.

What You'll Do:
  • Behavioral Aide Shift: 8:30am-1:30pm
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Provide one-on-one instructional support tailored to student needs
  • Apply ABA methodologies to support targeted behavior goals
  • Respond to crisis situations using Pro-ACT or CPI intervention techniques
  • Monitor and supervise students during class, breaks, meals, and transportation
  • Record daily data on student behavior, skills progression, and learning objectives
  • Communicate with teachers and supervisors regarding student progress and concerns
  • Driver Shift Hours: This position requires the flexibility of working a split shift.
  • 1st Shift = 4:30AM/ 5:30AM -- 8:30AM
  • 2nd Shift = 1:30PM -- 5PM
  • Safe Vehicle Operation: Adhere to all driving laws and techniques to minimize risks, ensuring safe operation of vehicles at all times.
  • Student Supervision: Monitor students during transportation, maintaining safety and security.
  • Record Keeping: Complete daily logs such as van attendance, 1:1 logs, behavioral logs, and fuel purchases.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow protocols for loading, unloading, and securing all passengers, including the four-point securement of wheelchairs and scooters when necessary.
  • Errands & Transport: Run program errands, including package deliveries, late runs, and transporting students to workability events and other appointments as needed.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and on-board equipment functionality and cleanliness; report any issues requiring maintenance or repair.

  • Must Have: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience working in a school or treatment setting with students facing learning, social, or emotional challenges.
  • Licenses/Records Record: Valid driver's license required and clean DMV record.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and use a map/ GPS.
  • Clearances: DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background, TB Clearance., and DOT Physical required.
  • Other: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Preferred: Pro-ACT, CPI, or CPR certification experience with students needing behavioral, social, or emotional support Bachelor's degree in related field (required for BA III level)
Physical Demands:
  • Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
  • Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items.
  • Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
