WM is seeking a Driver Apprentice in Detroit, MI who will train to safely operate a commercial refuse/recycling vehicle after obtaining their Commercial Driving Permit. You will work with a WM Driver or Trainer and progress through training to become a licensed WM Driver.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Current state-issued standard Driver's License.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial refuse/recycling vehicle after training and with supervision.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document checks.
• Immediately report unsafe situations or issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend scheduled training programs, briefings and meetings as required.
• Follow route assignments and complete end-of-day documentation.
