Job summary

Waste Management (WM) is seeking a Driver Apprentice who, after receiving their Commercial Driving Permit, will complete the required training to safely operate a commercial refuse/recycling vehicle. The role supports customers in their designated Line of Business and will continue in this role until training requirements are completed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public.
• Commercial or Non-commercial Driver's License Class C or D.

Responsibilities

• Train with WM Driver/Trainer to operate a commercial refuse/recycling vehicle safely.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Communicate customer requests and service interruptions to Dispatch.
• Assist with loading/unloading and backing maneuvers on-route.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and route paperwork.
