Job Title: Driver & Warehouse Assistant

The Driver & Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the safe loading, delivery, and unloading of goods, including hazardous materials, and managing inventory logistics according to purchase orders and schedules.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes.
2. Load items for delivery based on the route plan.
3. Obtain signatures and payments, and coordinate recipient payments.
4. Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as monitoring fluids.
5. Leave verbal messages via telephone.
6. Maintain positive customer relations.
7. Deliver to and pick up from area customers.
8. Complete all required paperwork thoroughly.
9. Follow all company policies, including safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards.
10. Assist the warehouse manager with related duties.

Education and Training:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree or relevant experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to operate communication devices (cellphone, laptop).
• Knowledge of standard shop tools.
• Possess or obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL C) with hazardous materials endorsement.
• Forklift certification (training provided if needed).
• Experience with reach truck operation or willingness to train.
• Safety training for Spill Containment; OSHA certification is a plus.
• Valid and current driver's license with a clean MVR in the state of application.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and see clearly.
• Ability to walk, stand, and climb as needed.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Finger dexterity for data entry and device operation.
• Ability to load/unload trucks and move pallets with a forklift.

Pay: $26 - $28/hr
