Job summary

North Coast, part of the Sonepar group, is hiring a delivery/warehouse associate in Alaska. The role involves delivering to customer sites, pre-route inspections, loading and securing cargo, and supporting order fulfillment.

You will also help maintain warehouse organization and assist with will-call orders. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to pass a DOT physical, and strong communication and attention to detail.

• Committed to accuracy and doing tasks right the first time.
• Ability to learn use of handheld scanners and operating systems.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries to customer job sites, shops, and NCElocations.
• Perform daily pre-route vehicle inspections for safety and readiness.
• Ensure truck is loaded within weight limits.
• Fill orders to support delivery routes.
• Assist in pulling and double checking will-call orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Other warehouse duties as assigned.

• Making deliveries to customer job sites, shops, and NCElocations

• Ensure truck is properly loaded, secured, and within weight limitation
• Filling orders in support of delivery routes
• Assist in pulling and double checking will-call orders

What You Will Bring:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Verified by background check.)
• Age 21 & able to pass DOT Physical
• Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time (DIRTFT)
• Ability to learn use of handheld scanners and operating systems
• Good oral & written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Self-motivated, teamwork focused, and great customer service skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (75+ lbs.)
• Driving delivery vehicle with a GVW under 15,000 lbs.
• Warehouse environment
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday, however, based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required
• Requires punctual regular and reliable on‑site attendance

Additional Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include a background check, drug screening, credit check, and motor vehicle record review, as permitted by law and required for the position.

Salary & Compensation:

• This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime
• Pay is $20.19/hour - $25.24/hour, DOE.
