Job summary

The Homestead at Montrose in Montrose, CO is seeking a part-time Driver-Activities Assistant to coordinate social, recreational, and spiritual activities for residents. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may require a driver license to assist with transportation.

Pay ranges from $17.40 to $19.65 per hour based on experience. Schedule is 18 hours per week on Tue, Wed and Thu, with on-site duties in a supportive, mission-driven healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Driver's License required.

• Coordinate social, recreational, purposeful and spiritual activities to residents.
• Assist with planning and scheduling trips and outside activities; arrange transportation and resident supervision.
• Initiate reporting and documentation procedures as assigned.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.

Pay Range: $17.40 - $19.65 per hour (based on experience).

Schedule: Part-Time 18-hours per week; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 6-hour shifts

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred. Preference given to persons who have completed courses in therapeutic recreation.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• If operating company vehicle you must be twenty-one (21) years of age and meet the MVR organization standards.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The Activities Assistant/Driver will coordinate social, recreational, purposeful and spiritual activities to residents, whose needs include psychological, physical, and cognitive challenges.

• Assist with planning and scheduling trips and outside activities; arrange for transportation and resident supervision.
• Initiate reporting and documentation procedures as assigned.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
• Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Activities Director.
