Job summary

Qualifications

• Compliance with DQF documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily moving operations within assigned area.
• Direct and support front-line drivers and crew members.
• Ensure work quality, safety and procedural compliance.
• Support investigations and inspections as needed.
• Lead daily crew operations at customer sites.
• Oversee packing, handling, loading and unloading of household goods.
• Prepare and review import/export and domestic transportation documents.
• Complete accident and damage reports and support Kaizen actions.
• Coordinate with partner companies, Sales and Customer Service.
• Transport and deliver goods as scheduled by the Dispatcher.
• Unload or load using proper safety precautions.
• Safely drive company vehicle in line with policies and laws.
• Comply with DOT and NEU requirements (Recordkeeping, HOS, etc.).
• Report any areas of concern to Supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities

The Household Goods Driver leads daily moving operations and helps ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable requirements. This role coordinates in-house crews and partner companies, promotes consistent service quality, and works closely with the Sales and Customer Service teams.

The supervisor oversees household goods packing, handling, loading, and unloading at customer locations, and may also drive a company vehicle.

• Manage an assigned area of daily operations.

• Direct and support front-line drivers and crew members.

• Ensure work quality, safety, and compliance with applicable procedures.

• Conduct or support investigations and inspections.

• Lead daily crew operations at customer sites.

• Oversee the safe packing, handling, loading, and unloading of household goods.

• repare and review import, export, and domestic transportation documents.

• Complete accident and damage reports, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen).

• Communicate and coordinate with partner companies, Sales, and Customer Service.

• Transport and deliver goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by the Dispatcher
• Unload or load using proper safety precautions
• Safely Drive the company vehicle ensuring to follow all company policies, procedures and applicable laws
• Comply with all DOT and NEU requirements (Recordkeeping, Pre- and Post-Inspections, HOS, etc.)
• Communicate to Supervisor/Manager any areas of concern

Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role

Qualifications

• Under FMCSR, all Drivers must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the transportation of interstate commerce (391.11(b)(1))
• Satisfactory MVR
• Satisfactory compliance with DQF documentation
• Valid Driver’s License Class C
• High School Diploma, equivalency certificate or significant relevant or appropriate working experience
• DOT Medical card or able to pass a DOT physical to obtain a medical card

Organization Relationships

• This position will interact with all levels of employees at the branch, including colleagues, leadership staff, and office personnel.
• Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations

Work Environment

• Driving for long periods of time
• Standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, repetitive use of hands, grasping
• Pulling, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to traffic, excessive noise in a fast-paced warehouse environment
