Job summary

Nippon Express USA seeks a detail-oriented logistics coordinator to support operations across branches. You will help coordinate loading and shipping plans, arrange trucking, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires about 5 years of experience in logistics, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A sedentary office setting with collaborative teams awaits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; relevant work experience acceptable.
• Approximately 5 years department or industry experience.
• Familiar with logistics concepts and planning.
• Knowledge of international commerce, sales terms and regulations.
• Knowledge of Consolidator systems and related regulations.
• Strong MS Office skills; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loading plan and shipping plan with customer service and other branches.
• Arrange trucking and ensure safety requirements while recording information.
• Communicate with internal/external sources to secure information.
• Perform onboard tracking with carriers and make bookings as necessary.
• Set up GPS for each trailer and manage GPS inventory.
• Update and maintain work profiles and vendor rates information.
• Handle additional duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• • 50% coordination between customer service, including other branches and warehouse
  • 20% CFS storage management, loading plan,
  • 30% General assignments as needed
• Technical
  • Coordinating loading plan, shipping plan with customer service includes other branches, arranging truck company, accordingly, checking all safety requirements, recording necessary information
  • Communicate with internal and/or external sources to secure information
  • General business support function as assigned includes on board tracking with carriers. Making booking as necessary with carriers.
  • GPS set up for each trailer, GPS inventory management

Salary Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00 Hourly

This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience.
• Approximately 5 years department or industry experience
• Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concept and planning concept)
• Knowledge of international commerce (sales and payment term, method, customs regulations etc.)
• Knowledge of Consolidator system
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), State, Federal and Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) regulation
• Great computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Organization Relationships:

This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations.
