Job summary

Meridian Senior Living’s The Country House in Yorktown Heights, NY seeks a Part-Time Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for residents and to prepare and maintain the bus for daily service.

The role requires a high school diploma, being 21+, a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and CPR certification; candidates must communicate well with residents and staff and pass background checks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid and active driver’s license.
  • Meet motor vehicle records clearance requirements.
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and general public.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
  • Must possess current first aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must meet all health requirements.
  • Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents.
  • Prepare bus for operation and perform routine maintenance.
  • Ensure resident safety and satisfaction during trips.

Position Type: Part Time.
Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly.

Driver Position Details

As a driver you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our residents. Responsibilities in this role will also include preparing the bus for operation, maintaining the bus, and taking the initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
