Job summary

Friendship Village Retirement Community in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Transportation Driver with a CDL to help safely transport residents to appointments and events. You will play a vital role in ensuring residents can attend activities and stay connected with their community.

In addition to driving, you may assist with light maintenance, trash, mail, and other deliveries. Shifts include 1st or 2nd, with rotating weekends and holidays; a flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid CDL license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Exceptional customer service - ability to build relationships with those we serve.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Pass prescreening which could include background, drug testing.

Friendship Village is a retirement community servicing independent seniors to those requiring full time care. As a bus driver, you will help get our residents to where they need to go, like taking our Assisted Living and Skilled Care residents to doctors' appointments and our independent seniors to the store, the doctor or to concerts, activities and other events.

In addition, you may assist with general maintenance, trash removal, mail, and other deliveries.

Working hours:

• 1st or 2nd shift
• Rotating weekends and holidays
