Job summary

Recology is hiring for a Warrenton-area CDL driver to operate the assigned vehicle with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. The role requires pre-trip inspections, load handling, and compliance with waste regulations.

The position emphasizes maintaining positive community relations and adherence to 4R principles while supporting daily operations. A valid CDL and medical card are required.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial driving experience; two years preferred.
• Knowledge of job site safety, hazards, and relevant regulations including waste rules.
• Basic computer programs and reporting skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CDL and valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily safety checks and pre-trip inspections on the assigned vehicle.
• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains compliant operations.
• Operates vehicle in all service areas in a timely, efficient manner.
• Loads materials per procedures and reports violations to supervisor.
• Ensures hazardous materials are not accepted; verifies load limits.
• Reports accidents or safety violations promptly to authorities.
• Maintains good customer relations and positive community image.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location: 1108 - Recology Western Oregon - Warrenton

Subsidiary Name: Recology Western Oregon - Coast

Shift: Monday- Friday, 5:00am - 2:00pm

Under limited supervision, accountable for the efficient and effective operation of assigned vehicle, the consistent application of safety and operational procedures, and maintenance of good customer relations throughout all applicable service areas.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine safety checks, and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicle.
• Ensures all safety measures appropriate for operation of assigned vehicle are consistently and efficiently applied.
• Operates vehicle in all assigned service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
• Loads all assigned materials according to normal operating procedures and reports any violations to supervisor.
• Ensures hazardous materials are not accepted, as able.
• Assures materials being transported comply within the legal load limits.
• Reports all accidents and/or safety violations to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner.
• Maintain support of good customer relations and positively influences the community's perception of the Company throughout all applicable service areas.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• One yearofcommercial drivingexperience (Two years of commercial driving experience preferred).
• Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations including applicable waste regulation.
• Basic computer programs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current commercial driver's license and a current valid medical card.
