Job summary

Recology Portland Inc. is seeking a safety-conscious CDL driver to operate assigned collection vehicles in Portland, OR. Under limited supervision, you will perform pre-trip inspections, load materials per procedures, and maintain excellent customer relations across service areas.

Responsibilities include applying safety measures, reporting incidents promptly, and complying with waste regulations. A valid CDL and medical card are required; one year of driving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • One year of commercial driving experience (Two years preferred).
  • Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations including applicable waste regulation.
  • Basic computer programs.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Current commercial driver's license and a current valid medical card.

  • Assures materials being transported comply within the legal load limits.
  • Reports all accidents and/or safety violations to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain support of good customer relations and positively influences the community’s perception of the Company throughout all applicable service areas.
  • Other duties as assigned
