Qualifications

Job Details

Job Location: Tamuning, GU 96931. Salary Range: $14.00 Hourly.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Driver is responsible for transporting and delivering goods to different customer locations safely and on specific routes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assists with loading trucks for deliveries.
2. Prepares delivery schedule.
3. Delivers food products at the location designated by the customer.
4. Obtains the customer’s signature for proof of delivery and helps to unload the truck where necessary.
5. Assists Operations Manager in assuring proper maintenance is performed on the truck.
6. When not driving the truck, performs other duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
7. Performs functions necessary to keep warehouse neat and orderly.
8. Maintains a safety record with no accidents or injuries.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work includes movement around vehicles, exposure to an outdoor environment, including inclement weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain, etc.). May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time, move around the facility from one location to another, talk, hear, use fingers to type, handle or feel and reach objects and lift and/or move objects 10 pounds or less. The employee may occasionally need to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend and lift and/or move items 40 pounds or more. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be given a regular day off.

TRAVEL

Local travel to various worksites may be required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must possess a valid Chauffeur’s License.
2. Must have a valid Health Certificate.
3. Must have a valid DOT Medical Certification.
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
5. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
6. Ability to remain alert and focused while driving a large vehicle and keeping all company assets, fellow commuters, pedestrians, and yourself safe.
7. Ability to effectively communicate.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Two years’ experience as a truck driver.
