Job summary

Christensen, Inc. in Washington state seeks a qualified truck driver to transport petroleum products while complying with DOT rules and company procedures.

You will inspect equipment, verify loads, and maintain shipping papers and records. This safety‑sensitive role requires a Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements, at least 2 years of driving experience, and the ability to handle hoses and complex deliveries; flexibility for around‑the‑clock trips is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math for receipts; read maps and road signs; maintain duty status.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Drive to designated destinations up to 11 hours.
• Verify loads against shipping papers for accuracy.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Install and remove tire chains as required by weather.
• Maintain records of duty status and other required logs.
• Report accidents and delays due to breakdowns or weather.
• Operate controls for unloading product and process delivery paperwork.

$2500 SIGNING BONUS!!SCOPE:To transport and deliver petroleum products to customers by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area. The truck driver will be responsible for driving to and from designated locations, verifying loads to shipping papers, maintaining record of duty status according to state and federal regulations, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLESClimb ladders to check holding tanks on equipment.Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit a report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip or tour of duty.Check shipping papers to determine the nature of load and to check for accuracy.Install and remove tire chains as required by weather conditions.Drive truck to and from designated destinations of up to 11 hours. Also, driver required to climb in and out of the truck cab frequently.Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in or out of tight loading and unloading areas.Must be able to drive equipment in all types of weather and conditions.
