Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Savannah, GA is hiring a Driver to operate company vehicles and deliver product safely and on time. You will load/unload, verify deliveries, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain logs and certifications.

The role requires a CDL with Hazmat as needed, at least 1 year driving and warehouse experience, and a valid license. Travel up to 80% to branches; compensation includes competitive pay and benefits. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement, as needed.
• 1 year of delivery truck driving experience.
• 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferred.
• Proficiency in computer and inventory systems, preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies.
• Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policies.
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day.
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes.
• Verify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition.
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
• Ensure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possession.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
• Maintain truck maintenance records.
• Notify management of any safety issues with company vehicles.
• Provide support to Warehouse Associates.
• Participate in after-hours training classes.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
