Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents and assist with mobility needs. You will conduct pre-trip inspections, ensure vehicle safety, and document driving logs while upholding care standards.

The role emphasizes resident safety, reliability, and compassionate service. A valid driver's license, HS diploma/GED, CPR certification as required, and strong communication skills are essential to support residents and the Sunrise

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21+
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• CPR certification (as required)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
