Job summary

AVFleet in California offers $20.00 per hour base pay, paid twice a month, with tips 100% yours. You’ll drive an EV, learn to calibrate sensors, and follow safety standards while earning a predictable schedule and a W-2 position.

Shifts are five days a week, evening or overnight, with 8.5-hour blocks and a 4.95+ Uber rating expectation. We provide health insurance after 90 days, 401(k), and California paid sick leave.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and two+ years licensed driving

Responsibilities

• Get passengers where they’re going, safely and on time, in a company EV
• Run pre-shift and post-shift inspections and flag anything that needs attention
• Perform sensor calibration and keep the sensors clean
• Use our navigation and dispatch apps to accept and fulfill all rides safely
• Keep the car charged during your shift at our designated locations
• Drive in pre-designated routes to train the AV system mounted on the vehicle
• Deliver the kind of service that earns the tips — professional, courteous, helpful with bags, etc.
• Follow traffic laws and our safety standards and maintain Uber rider rating above 4.95
• Report incidents right away so we can support you
• Maintain a professional presentation for every shift, bring a positive attitude, and collaborate respectfully with your supervisors and teammates

What you’ll learn

What you need

• A valid California driver’s license

• Two or more years of licensed driving experience

• A driving record that meets our insurance standards. An insurance check will be performed afterconditionaljob offer is issued

• Eligibility to drive onUber, including their minimum age standard of25

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• Strong communicationand customer service instincts

• Availability for full-time evening and/or overnight shifts,fivedays a week

Nice to have

• Rideshare ordelivery drivingexperience

• Experience driving an electric vehicle

• Knowing San Franciscogeography and traffic patterns

• Able to speak Spanish

The shifts

Evening and overnight shifts,fivedays a week.Full-timeonly.You’llbe in and out of the car through your shift, occasionally handling luggage, childseatsand other tools/equipmentup to 40pounds anddriving for extendedstretchesincluding at night.Need a reasonable accommodationto do any part of this job?
