Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Driver to join our team and provide reliable transportation for residents to activities and events. You will assist passengers, secure wheelchairs, and help with basic vehicle maintenance while ensuring safety and timely service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, is at least 21, may hold a CDL, and demonstrates strong customer service and organizational skills in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service environment preferred, especially in senior living.
• Must be familiar with safety precautions and able to follow safety measures.
• Strong organization and time management with ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure wheelchairs and ensure passenger safety during trips.
• Operate radio/phone to communicate with base and report disruptions.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition and perform basic servicing.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license renewals.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.

Our community is looking for a Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for the residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
• Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
