Job summary

Chrysalis of Ogden, UT seeks Direct Support Professionals to drive individuals and staff to activities and events. When not driving, you will work in homes and training settings to ensure safety, respect, mentorship, and enjoyment.

The day program role is vital to the Chrysalis Team, delivering opportunities to improve quality of life and daily fun. As a DSP, you will help individuals participate in community activities and maintain documentation with diligence, while upholding Chrysalis driving

Qualifications

• Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must meet and stay in compliance with Chrysalis driving requirements.
• Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form.
• Able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames.
• Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations.
• Have a positive attitude.

Team Player

The main purpose of this position is to drive individuals and their staff to activities, appointments and other events. When not driving this position will work in the homes and do other tasks as assigned.

The Direct Support Professional in the day program is the lifeblood of the Chrysalis Team. You work hand in hand with the individuals in a workplace/training setting to ensure they are safe, respected, mentored and having fun. You get paid to go to movies, go fishing, go bowling, play games, and to be a teacher, a mentor and a friend.Direct Support Professionals TRULY have an opportunity to Make A Difference Daily!

Direct Support Professionals Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals in the day program work with the individuals in workplace setting and in the community. Your main job is to create opportunities for the individuals to increase their quality of life.
