Job summary

Norfolk Iron & Metal is seeking an experienced OTR driver to safely operate company-owned tractor-trailers and deliver steel products across assigned routes in Colorado and surrounding areas.

You will perform DOT pre-trip/post-trip inspections, complete DVIRs, and ensure on-time deliveries while upholding high safety standards. A CDL A and DOT medical certificate are required, with company benefits including a 401(k) match and a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL and DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required.
• Strong safety focus and ability to meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned tractor-trailers in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Deliver steel products according to assigned routes and schedules while maximizing efficiency and maintaining on-time performance.
• Perform required DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Accurately complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and all required driving documentation.
• Assist with the safe loading, securing, and unloading of steel products.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service during pickups and deliveries while representing Norfolk Iron & Metal in a positive manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and promptly report any mechanical issues, safety concerns, or equipment deficiencies.
• Comply with all company policies, DOT regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local transportation laws.

Required:
