This hospital transportation position supports safe patient transport and coordination with nursing and administration staff within a 120-bed residential behavioral health setting. You will transport patients to appointments, maintain vehicles, protect patient confidentiality, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Healthcare, behavioral health, transportation or patient-care experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Meet hospital safety, background screening and patient care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from appointments and designated locations.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures regarding patient transportation and safety.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly hospital vehicle.
• Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Provide respectful, professional, and compassionate interactions with patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage records, and other documentation.
• Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, administration, and other hospital departments.
• Follow all traffic laws and hospital transportation protocols.
• Respond to behavioral or emotional concerns while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Mountain Youth Academy is nestled in Mountain City, Tennessee which is conveniently located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients. We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Driver to provide transportation support for patients and assist with the safe and efficient operation of hospital transportation services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
