Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a patient transport driver to safely move patients to appointments, admissions, discharges, and special events within our facility network.

You will ensure seatbelts are fastened, maintain vehicle logs, respond to on-call schedules, and communicate professionally with patients and staff while keeping vehicles clean and ready for service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required by state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Pickup or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
• Ensure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts before the vehicle is started.
• Drive company facility vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment, as needed.
• Respond and adhere to “on call” schedule as required.
• Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.
• Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.
• Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean and functional.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
