Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers across the Memphis area. You will inspect tractors, handle deliveries, and ensure on-time, safe placement of goods at customer sites.

The role offers home daily schedules, a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and a pay structure based on hourly, miles, stops, and cases. Benefits begin Day 1 with medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A) required.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Must be able to read/write English at a level sufficient for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips.
• Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Deliver cargo to customer premises and unload.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Load/unload and handle products.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with regulations.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $105,000 depending on route sizes .
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, paid out over your first year of service
• Home daily: Route schedule will vary. CDL‑A drivers will need to be available for overnight loads
• Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases
• 100% Touch Freight, Ramp & Dolly deliveries

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off‑hour delivery.
• Drive tractor‑trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL‑A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
