Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking a dedicated driver to transport students by bus and car to various sites and to perform general maintenance duties at the center. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the CDL/passenger bus endorsement, plus fluency in English.

You may also assist with custodial tasks and grounds maintenance as needed. Hours include Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Tue from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English fluently.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify for company sponsored vehicle insurance.
• Must have or seek CDL/Passenger bus endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Transport students by bus and automobile to vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
• Inspect vehicles and report mechanical issues to Lead Driver/Dispatcher or Facilities Manager.
• Maintain the cleanliness of Center vehicles and transport equipment/commodities as needed.
• Perform maintenance worker or custodian duties such as grounds keeping, snow removal, and custodial tasks.

Job Summary:

Responsible for supplying transportation services to students and performing general maintenance duties throughout the center.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Must model Company Core Values and the operating principles at all times.
• Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
• Adheres to all PRH and CSD policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.
• Transport students by bus and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
• Transports equipment and/or commodities to the center.
• Inspects vehicles and reports any mechanical issues to Lead Driver/Dispatcher or Facilities Manager.
• May supervise students on various activities, such as recreation, medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all Center vehicles.
• Transports equipment and/or commodities to the center.
• Inspects and reports on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
• Performs duties of maintenance worker and or custodian as needed such as ground keeping, snow removal and custodial duties.
• Attends required staff training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours:

Mon, Wed, Thu, & Fri 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Tue 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Requirements

Minimum:

Some high school. Ability to fluently read and write English. Model company Core Values. Must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify for company sponsored vehicle insurance. Must have or immediately seek CDL/ Passenger bus endorsement.

Preferred:

Six months work-related experience and HSE/GED/HSD preferred.

Knowledge:

Must possess valid State driver’s license and commercial driver’s license with passenger bus endorsement. Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certificate. Ability to operate power tools.
