Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Lewiston, ME is hiring a Propane Delivery Driver responsible for safe, timely delivery of propane to customers, loading/unloading, and exceptional customer service. CDL A or B, tanker/Hazmat endorsements preferred, DOT medical cert required. You will maintain the vehicle, use technology for tickets and routing, and follow safety standards.

Overtime or on-call incentives may apply. Pay: $30.00–$33.00 per hour, with overtime eligibility and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B required; tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• DOT medical certification required; legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers safely and on schedule.

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
