Job summary

Galleria Woods Senior Living is seeking a dependable Driver (Per Diem as needed) to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents to appointments, shopping, outings, and events. The role supports mobility for seniors and enhances daily engagement within the community.

The opportunity offers flexible shifts on weekdays and some weekends, with pay ranging from $17 to $20 per hour based on experience. CDL may be preferred but not required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Valid Alabama driver's license required.
• CDL preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six (6) months of bus, van, shuttle, or passenger transportation experience required.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Dependable, professional, and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a van, bus, or automobile to meet resident transportation needs.
• Assist residents on and off vehicles, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, or other mobility devices.
• Support resident outings and special events.
• Load groceries and other purchased items into the vehicle.
• Coordinate and schedule routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and maintain assigned vehicles.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as directed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive resident experience.
